SIM number where to find without removing card

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy j2 prepaid, at&t. I need to get the SIM number for AT&T online to update my device. I cannot remove the card! At least, not without an axe. So is there any other way to find this sim number?

I have watched YouTube videos etc Any Help will be appreciated.

If you still have the original SIM card jacket (the credit-card-size plastic thingy) then the number is likely printed there. If not, then extracting the SIM is the only option. I'm not familiar with J2, but I see it has a removable battery, so the SIM slot is likely one of two kinds: click to release or simple tension. If it's click to release, just push the SIM further in first, then it should be easy to pull out. If it's simple tension I find the pencil with an eraser at the other end works wonders for coaxing the SIM out.

@dmapr Thank you, it came with the card inserted. I'll try again.

Follow up - I kept the Box the phone came in, the SIM card is also called a ICCID and it's printed on the bottom of the box, I did not know it was called that. So I did not have to remove the SIM card after all to find it. Cheers!

@celticjane Glad to hear you got it and good to know ICCID is printed on the box, I thought it was only on the plastic holder.

This isn't a home phone issue. Moving to the wireless forum.
