Several device unlock requests sent but no confirmation emails received

Hi there! I have been trying to unlock a device using the portal every day for about a week now. I haven't received a single confirmation link email for any of the requests, but I have received 2 follow up emails stating that I didn't confirm using the link during the 24 hour period. Is there a way to expedite the unlock process / ensure that I receive a confirmation link so I can proceed? Thank you for any help!!

Hello @paulinawitt,

Thank you for informing us. We can definitely assist you with submitting another unlock request. The link that is included with the unlock request confirmation email expires in 24 hours. Once 24 hours has passed, go ahead and Check the status of your unlock request. If your unlock request is still pending, please allow some additional time for the link to expire. Your unlock request will then be canceled within two business days, and you will be able to submit another wireless unlock request with our Device Unlock Portal. Let us know if still don't receive the confirmation email for this next unlock request, and we'll take a closer look.

Hi @paulinawitt,

Thanks for reaching out! Allow us to lend a helping hand. As you know, the link in the confirmation e-mail expires after 24 hours. After that point, you can submit a new request in the Unlock Portal. We encourage you to use a different e-mail this time, or double check to make sure you are using the correct one. You can also view the status of your unlock as well, to stay up to date with the progress. Let us know if this helps or not!

Hi Collin! @ATTCares

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I've tried this process multiple times using 3 email addresses on different servers with no luck. I've been diligently checking my spam and junk folders, too.

I have been following up using the check status portal, too, which have all been "Pending" but this morning the most recent status read "Denied" because the confirmation link was expired after going unused after 24 hours, but I never received a link to any of the email addresses to use in the first place.

The device is fully paid off, not tied to any contract or phone number, and meets all of the other eligibility requirements. Is there a way to expedite this process other than what I've been trying? I can provide the IMEI and any other information.

Thank you so much again for your time and help!

Hi again @ATTCares

Still no luck - I've tried everything multiple times, is there anything else I can do to get this phone unlocked ASAP?

Thank you again,

Paulina

Hi @paulinawitt, and thanks for responding back to us!

Have you received a conformation email yet from your most recent unlock request? Does it show the request still pending? Has the email link expired?

Paulina, I've had the same problem. And it's so frustrating! No email confirmation has come for me either. When I called today, the customer service representative told me that they can do a request for me, which isn't helpful -- because I can do that on my own. It doesn't make any sense why this process is so broken and long except if AT&T wants to discourage users from unlocking their phones.

Can we have help with this problem? Why is this so difficult?  This is very, very annoying and such poor customer service. Can't wait to switch once I unlock my phone.
