Reconfigure Harman Spark wifi timeout

We just purchased a Harman Spark after being told that my 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L with Navi would support it.  We plugged it in, got signal on the backroads where we previously had none, and we were happy...

Then we hit traffic and crawled for about 3 minutes, during which time the wifi cut off.  I got down the road a bit more, and wifi came back.  We got to our destination, and the wifi cut off.  Literally, idling for 5 minutes and less the wifi dies.  When I am working on a client's issue, I can't keep driving around the city, we purchased this to ensure that we would always be connected and the kids could watch PBS while we had to work.  How do I take off these useless timeouts?!?!?!

Hello @sossomon,

We can definitely provide you with some more information about your device. Unfortunately, this is not a feature that can be turned off for your device. The HARMAN Spark is automatically set to turn off in certain scenarios depending on it's operational state. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can learn more about this with the HARMAN Spark Quick Start guide. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Ok, so you are selling me hardware with default, faulty software that makes
it unusable. I'll be canceling this and going to t-mobile who doesn't do
this stupidity.

My device says I’m not moving while driving at 70 miles an hour.  While the gps map shows it moving.  Huh?

We'd like to look into why your GPS feature isn't working while on the road @Ryanrschuster!

  • What GPS app are you currently using while driving? Have you enabled the location/tracking feature to help pinpoint where you are while moving?
  • What is the device you're using with the GPS app? Have you disabled any features that stop the GPS from working?
  • Have you received any error notifications as to why GPS won't work on your device? If so, what does the error message say?

Provide us more specific details to proceed.

We look forward to hearing from you!
