Problems troubleshooting the Turbo Hotspot 2

I've purchased two Turbo Hotspot 2 devices, one from Walmart and the other a warrenty replacement. Both devices I followed every instruction with the same exact outcome, the devices screen will briefly flash 'Hello' then the screen is once again blacked out. 

I have factory reset both devices numerous times without a different outcome. 

I have read a number of testimonials and have noticed the average customer have come to the same conclusion; the device is defective and a piece of junk. 

I would like to transfer the data package or the amount paid of said data plan to be added to my mobile devices line as a credit so I am not completely losing every dollar that I was misled to spend on it.

Any and all help would be appreciated.
