Problem using a former Verizon phone for a temporary replacement
I have recently sent my wife's Samsung S21 Ultra for repair. I placed her SIM card in an LGV10 from when I was a Verizon customer. The phone initially displayed a message that the SIM card was not a Verizon card. The phone is not locked (she visited a Verizon store this AM) and it will allow her to send and receive text messages and she can receive phone calls. It will not allow her to send/receive group messages nor can she make phone calls. It will also not perform any functions associated with the data connection (browse the internet, Google Play store, etc.). The associates at the AT&T store were unable to provide any help and said to call customer service. I called them and they said visit the Verizon store (which we've already done). Any suggestions on solving the problem with making phone calls and using the data connection?

We can help shed some light on why you're unable to connect to our mobile network, @stephanfrank71.
The device you're attempting to use is ineligible. We have a full list of carrier unlocked devices that are compatible with the AT&T network.
If you purchased an unlocked device from another retailer, please note, they are not optimized to work on AT&T’s network. This is important to remember when purchasing a non-branded, unlocked device and why you see different model numbers.
To continue using your service, you'll need to insert your SIM into a HD Voice, VoLTE capable smartphone.
