This is the second phone I've gotten in a row that has a point of purchase block.

Hi Qbordelon, we are here to help with your Point Of Sale Activations concern!
The point of purchase block is due to the retail location not marking the device as sold. Please return back to the retailer, so they can complete the sale on their systems, this is usually due to it not being scanned properly.
If this doesn't help, please confirm if you are a Postpaid/Prepaid customer to better assist you.
