Phone number not working

If I'm calling an At&t phone and the recording is saying the number you are trying to call is not reachable... Does that mean the phone is cut off or does it mean the number has been changed?

Hi @Chanel

Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums! I’m sorry to hear you’re having service issues! I can help you with this and we’ll have you up and running in no time!

To better assist you, I will need a little more information. Have you attempted to contact the number using a different phone or a landline phone? Is this the only number you cannot contct?

There may be a couple of reasons why you are unable to reach this number:

  • It may be that the number has been suspended for non-pay
  • The line could have been suspended due to a lost or stolen phone
  • The person could have a “block all incoming calls” feature enabled on the device
  • The number is in the process of being ported to another carrier or phone is powered off, and Voicemail not set up or out of range.

Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions!

I am trying to call (Phone number hidden) with cell phones using AT&T service and none of the calls go through.

If I use Verizon cell phone, it does. How does this get fixed?
