OnePlus 8 (model IN2015) not on whitelist
I found a new unlocked OnePlus 8 on Amazon that I am looking to purchase. Amazon's description says that this particular phone's model number is IN2015. According to the AT&T whitelist for approved phones, the only OnePlus 8 models that will work are IN2011, IN2013, and IN2017. Since the IN2015 is not on that list, that suggests that there is no point in me purchasing from this listing because the phone won't work.
I decided to dig a little deeper into what the model numbers mean, and what I found makes no sense to me. IN2011 is the India model, IN2013 is the Europe model, and IN2017 is the T-Mobile model. Why would AT&T whitelist those variants from other continents/carriers while NOT including the IN2015 (USA/North America model)? If someone could help me understand this, I would be very appreciative because there is clearly something I'm missing here.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will it get 5g access in future? The phone does support sub-6 5G At&t band.

It's disappointing to know that a capable device won't be able to use the technology due to some whitelist process.
@formerlyknownas Thanks for your quick response
