Okay to buy phone from eBay?
Hello,
I was wondering if it is okay to buy an already unlocked ZTE Z222 phone from someone on ebay to use for another phone service? I do not know what the ebay seller has done to get this particular phone unlocked that he (or she) is selling. I want to be sure it is morally and ethically acceptable, not sinful, is legal and not breaking any of the AT&T rules, to buy a phone in this manner for another phone company's service.

AT&T doesn't care what phone you use on their service as long as the phone is compatible and works on the AT&T network.
You are usually better off with eBay than Craigslist or other selling sites. At least eBay has some buyer protection in case the phone is not as it is described.

I will not be using At&T as my phone service though, just their phone. It would be nice to hear from an AT&T customer service rep.

This is a customer to customer help forum and the advice is sound.
FYI, a phone unlocked from ATT will only work on another GSM network ( not on Sprint or Verizon or one of the prepaid CDMA prepaid networks )
