Thank you for reaching out. We're more than happy to take a closer look.
If your device downgrades to 3G for voice calls, it may be that your device does not support HD Voice or the network band available in your area is set up for 3G voice calls. Check if your device is compatible with HD Voice and reach back to us with your zip code so we can investigate further.

It would help if you wrote what phone?
If it doesn't say VoLTE in notification bar, it's not going to work when 3g shuts down.
Older iPhone and non carrier branded Androids drop to 3g for talk and text

This is 2020 Umidigi S5 Pro. It has all required AT&T bands. But looks like HD Voice feature not available. Submitted ticket on their support - still no response. Good phone, but not as Samsung. But cheaper :))

That phone will won't get VoLTE.
This is from specification:
Dual SIM use:
Both SIM slots are compatible with 4G, support 4G VoLTE in both slots simultaneously.
Except att does not support volte on that phone. It's not on the list.
@bspolon with very few exceptions, you’ll need an AT&T branded phone to get VoLTE when 3g shuts down. Doesn’t matter if it has compatible bands anymore. It’s going to be a few years before you can buy unlocked phones and get AT&T service
How can we improve?
