Mobile Hotspot

I just got my hotspot from Walmart $90 100GB few weeks ago now I called to pay to refill my plan I did over the phone and my hotspot is still saying I don’t have data when I literally rebought my last plan as the automated person directed me to. How do I get my hotspot working?

How long is a few weeks ago? Purchase plans last for 30 days. At the end of 30 days you should refill to keep service.

Hi @YungDuel, we understand your concern, let’s get the information you need.

Once you refill your pre-paid account, try restarting/rebooting your device and check if your hotspot is working. If you still find the issue, please follow the below troubleshooting steps:


1.      Turn on the hotspot feature on your AT&T device. This can be done by going to the Settings app and tapping on the Hotspot and tethering option.

2.      Find the Wi-Fi network name and password for your hotspot. This should be labeled as your device name.

3.      Go to the Wi-Fi settings on the device you want to connect and select the hotspot network.

4.      Enter the password for your hotspot and connect to the network.

5.      You can now share the data from your AT&T device with the connected device.
