Kindle Paperwhite will not recognize AT&T password

My sister just got a kindle paperwhite 10th generation 32 gb. Trying to set it up. It finds her AT&T wireless network, but when she enters the password it says that it's wrong,  even though every other device she has operates using that same password. I've walked her through every settings issue I can think of,  even sent the first kindle back, thinking it might have been defective. Same thing with this one, though. "Password incorrect" message. She's (we're) beyond frustrated. Can you help with this? Thank you!

It may be that the Kindle is having an issue with one of the "special characters" in the password.  You could try changing the password on the Gateway, but then all of your existing devices would have to change to the new password as well.

You could try enabling the Guest Network (if your Gateway has one) and setting its password avoiding whatever "funny" characters are in the original one.
