You can put a Verizon gizmo wstch on a $10 stand alone on Verizon, and use the companion on AT&T phone. 

But At&t has nothing comparable, and don't even try an off brand sold through Amazon, Facebook, or Ali Express. They will not work. Let me repeat that: they will not work on AT&T.   They are 2g or 3-g devices and cannot be activated and will not work on AT&T LTE only Network.  And they won't work on Verizon or T-Mobile because they are also LTE only Networks
