kaios u102aa unlock phone

Trying to get a KaiOS flipphone model U102AA unlocked. AT&T says KaiOS didn't provide them an unlock code for the phone. I find this hard to believe as KaiOS makes this phone for multiple carriers. Anybody run into this issue/Get it resolved?

Hello DrLevine, we'd be happy to help with getting you device unlocked. 

 

First you would want to make sure that your device meets all the unlock device eligibility requirements

 

Your device:

  • Is an AT&T phone or device and isn’t active on another AT&T account.
  • Was paid in full when you bought it (not on an installment plan). You won’t have to wait 60 days to unlock it.
  • Has a paid-off installment plan.
    • Paid through your monthly bill: Submit your unlock request at the start of your next bill period.
    • Paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request. Learn how pay off your installment plan.
  • Doesn’t have a past-due account balance. Make a payment to bring your account current. It will take 24 hours for your payment to post. 
  • Hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.
  • Is an AT&T PREPAIDSM phone that has had paid service for at least six months.

You can submit the request online.

 

Some overseas models may not work with AT&T's network. This is a hardware limitation for the device.

I met all those requirements. I did the request online. They sent me an email after 48 hours saying:

The manufacturer doesn't have an unlock code for this device.

They unlocked my other phone, a kyocera duraxe epic within 3 minutes. As I said KaiOS makes this phone for multiple carriers, so obviously, the phone works on multiple networks.

I am having the same issue.  I have been trying with you to unlock the phone for two weeks.  You said that it is eligible.  But they said they cannot provide the code.

File an FCC complaint online. The complaint is forwarded to AT&T upper management who will call you

hello I'm in mexico, I have an att KaiOS phone and I don't have the Unlock Device At&t application
How can I unlock it to use it with another company?
