Is my phone AT&T compatible?
I recently got a Nokia 2760 flip (temporary phone), although I didn't notice it was "owned" by TracFone. Currently it says my AT&T prepaid sim card is invalid. If I got the phone unlocked, could I use AT&T with it?

We'll be happy to clarify this for you @Jkane.
The Nokia 2760 is not compatible with our network. Here's a list of the phones we've certified to work on our network after the 3G shutdown.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Thank you for reaching out to our AT&T Community.

Why get a temp phone and go through the trouble to unlock to use it as att phone unless you’re trying to screw someone????

Because my current phone is in repair (gonna take longer than necessary), and I need something to communicate with.

Tracphone is an mvno of att so unlocking is not required it’s likely that phone isn’t compatible anymore since the shut down of 3g

4g means nothing. Older phones drop to 3g in calls but use 4g for data and text which isn’t compatible with the new network.

Since it isn't working properly, you can kind of guess that it's not compatible. AT&T has a BYOD IMEI check.

It doesn't matter if the device is an LTE device. What matters is if it is capable of operating on AT&T's voice over LTE network. And since this phone is a TracFone which is now owned by Verizon, the phone is likely carrier locked, and may not be compatible

@Constructive Not true. A phone locked to ATT will work on an ATT MVNO but the opposite is not true. A phone locked to an MVNO will not work on ATT until unlocked. A phone locked to tracphone would need to be unlocked to use on ATT.
