Is My LG Velvet 5G Phone (Model # LM-G900UM) Compatible With AT&T Network ?
I recently purchased a new lg velvet 5g phone, I currently use red pocket mobile as my mobile data provider. They sent me a new gsma sim card for my phone, this morning I had a chat session with customer service on their website. The agent I spoke with informed me that since I had been using a gsmt sim card in my previous phone that I would have to forfeit my remaining balance on that sim account and then basically start over again by purchasing the same data plan that I was on. I did that and received a confirmation of payment for the plan I just purchased. So far I still don't have active data service on my new phone. Has anyone else had the same or similar issue ?
Thanks.

It sounds like they switched you to a different network provider. And since AT&T is not your service provider, there's nothing AT& T can tell you. You should have asked red pocket.
Non at&t/unlocked phones that will work on AT&T

Hi,
I was using my LG V30 android phone with the gsmt sim card installed in it on the t-mobile network, at my location their service is terrible. So when I purchased my new phone they sent me a new gsma sim card that is supposed to switch me back to the at&t network, I've NEVER had an issue with the at&t network. Now I'm waiting in line to speak with red pocket technical support agent in chat. Hopefully I'll be able to speak with someone who has the knowledge to correct my issue. Thanks so much for your response, Stay Safe

Hi,
I did my homework before I made my purchase of my new phone, it's listed on at&t's 'whitelist'. https://www.att.com/idpassets/images/support/pdf/Devices-Working-on-ATT-Network.pdf

The only LG velvet that works on at&t is an AT&T branded phone. Does it boot with AT&T?
Because LG is out of the mobile business, they did not certify any new phones. Look at the link I posted. It's different for a reason. It includes only phones that are unlocked and will work on AT&T. As you can see there are no new LG phones on that list. Nothing from the V60 forward

Hi,
My new lg velvet phone is listed on the at&t whitelist of approved lg unlocked phones. The name and model # is as follows:
Name: LG Velvet 5G
Model #: LM-G900UM
My mobile data provider is red pocket mobile, and what I thought would be a fairly easy procedure to get my new phone functioning properly turned into basically just about a all day event for me. The first red pocket chat agent I spoke with early yesterday morning actually did more harm than good, so the rest of the day after speaking with various red pocket mobile employees I finally was able to use my phone properly. Especially when dealing with communication issues, it all depends on who you get to speak with.
