If my parents got me my phone, can I change the caller ID?

Hi,

So my parents just got me a new phone and it's my first one. I see that it is registered under their name as they had to pay for it. However would it affect my caller ID? It would be a bit weird if my parents' name appeared on my friends screen every time I gave them a call.

If so, is there a way to change the caller ID to my name? Like can I do it myself on my device (Samsung Galaxy S4)?

If you are calling a cellphone number then it will not show the name on their phone. The name will only show on the land line phone, which is unlikely to happen to you since everyone has a cellphone nowadays.

Also, there's no way for you to change the name on the caller ID if you want to make it your own.
