I Returned My Defective Phone But Am Worried That I Will Get Charged.. Help!

Hi. I got my replacement phone yesterday and packaged my original phone up and sent it back today. I did put the provided return label on the box with the phone inside but I am worried that it will get lost somewhere and that I will get charged. If this does indeed happen, then how can I remove the charge since I did send the phone back. I have an RMA # as well as an Order # and a Tracking # that got emailed to me. I would like to be assured that I will not be charged for a new phone if the phone I am returning ends up getting lost or stuck in transit. An AT&T agent told me that they can track the IMEI number to see if it indeed got lost and that I may or may not get refunded for the amount of the new phone. Please help me on this, thanks!

As long as you mailed the defective device back you should be fine, I recently had a similar experience filing my own insurance claim so I certainly understand where you're coming from, definitely don't need an extra 650 showing up on the bill! They shouldn't charge you as long as they receive the phone. You usually have a 10 day window, so if you mailed it on day 1 you should be fine!

Thanks! Also, I have had several agents confirm to me that my phone has normal wear and tear on it so if I do get billed, can I use that information as proof? I have previously sent in pictures to the reps of the normal wear and tear for them to verify.

Usually as long as the device doesn't have any physical breaks or liquid damage you should be allright, if they inspected the device prior to filing the claim I wouldn't worry about it if they verified the condition of the device.

Ok. It does have a couple of minor scuffs on the bottom two corners, but the agents I have spoken to said it should be fine. Can you verify this for me?

Yeah, as long as they inspected it you should be fine.
