You can visit our Device Support page to learn how to reset your device. It seems likely that you'll need to perform a factory reset. Follow the steps listed on the page, and see if you are able to perform the task.

We contacted the manufacturer stated that the phone does not have a hard reset feature. In this case, they stated that you would need to send the device to their repair center and pay an estimated amount of $29.00 to have the phone served. Thanks for reaching out! We'd love to help.
From the Home screen, press Menu > Settings > Personal > Security. You should see Reset password afterwards. Click on this and follow the steps. You can view more information about resetting your password in the User Manual for your device. This information is on page 110.

@ATTCares unfortunately i cannot access the menu since the phone is locked... how can i reset it without the menu (like a hard reset)?
@ATTCares the issue is that i cannot access the menues and the totorial show how to reset only with the menu. i am looking for a HARD reset solution... you keep sending SOFT reset options.
We are not aware of a HARD reset option. However, after a closer look, it appears the Dura XE (E4710) is a Business product. Please allow us to share this with our partners on the Business side to help confirm this. Thank you for your patience.Kenneth, AT&T Community Specialist
@ATTCares thank you. waiting for a response.
The only option we can find to do a hard reset on your phone is through the settings in the phone. We apologize about the inconvenience.
@ATTCares so what does someone who lost the password do?
According to the online manual there were no master reset options listed, but you could try a basic reset steps for this brand of device. To get passed the lock screen on the phone, it will require doing a factory reset. This will erase all the content on the phone and return it back to that "new phone" settings. To do this, try the Alternate master reset method by first powering the device off.
With your device powered off, press and hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time until the 'Android System Recovery' screen appears, then release.Press the Volume Down button until 'wipe data/factory reset' is highlighted, then press the Power button.Press the Volume Down button until 'Yes -- Erase everything' is highlighted, then press the Power button.Your phone will then perform the reset process and display "Reboot system now" when complete.Press the Power button to select the reboot option and complete the master reset.
Turning it on while the volume is pressed does nothing. it turns on as normal. on the verizon version (dura xv) that does work but not the at&t version (dura xe)
I'm surprised that at&t has no documentation regarding what to do in such a case.
So basically there is no way for the user to reset it?
This means that if someone loses his password it will cost him $29 + shipping to kyocera?
That is quite a headache for losing one's password. in the simmilar (almost the same) version by verizon (dura xv) the phone CAN be reset by the user by clicking PWR + VOL DOWN.
does it mean if forget your phone password of e4710 you'll no longer use it unless you buy another one, in short there is no hard reset for this model. sincerely this is not fair.
How can we improve?
