How to transfer photos pictures from ZTE222 to laptop

This is an answer rather than a question, but I hope it helps someone.  I was unable to figure out how to transfer photos from the ZTE222 to a laptop via USB (if anyone knows how to do this, please answer), but I did get it done via Bluetooth.  It's a multi-step process on my laptop with Windows 7.  I right clicked on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and hit open settings.  Then checked boxes for discoverable and other relevant.  Set the ZTE as described in the manual under settings for Bluetooth.  Do the search for devices from the ZTE using passcode 0000.  A bubble appears on the laptop asking for approval (needs fast response).  Click and then enter 0000 also.  It should connect.  Then go to COM Ports tab in properties and add a COM Port.  Right click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and you should now see a pick for receive file.  Hit that one.  On the ZTE go to my stuff pictures, scroll to my photos, hit options, hit check, hit all, hit options, scroll to send, scroll to Bluetooth, scroll to the name of the laptop, which should be displayed, and hit select.  The files should all transfer.  It the connection fails, the laptop likely a) isn't paired with the ZTE, b) doesn't have the COM Port defined, c) isn't in file receive mode.  After the files transfer, the laptop then asks where you want to save them.  Browse to the correct folder or use the default, and hit finish.  Your photos should be there.  Then you can delete them from the ZTE to free up memory for the next batch.  The photos are low resolution, so if you want better ones, you'll need to upgrade to a smartphone.  These instructions aren't precise or complete, and may have errors or omissions, but hopefully contain enough info to point the direction.  Use at your own risk.
