How do I unlock an old AT&T phone that I haven't used in a couple of years?

! have a Samsung S5 Active that I don't use anymore. How do I get it unlocked so I can give it to a friend to use with a different carrier?

Request unlock as a non customer.

If it hasnt been used in a while, the IMEI may no longer be registered. In which case you’ll had to call and ask for tech support and explain the problem.

The other thing to remember those phones were ATT exclusives. The only carrier that it will work on is Tmobile or one of its MVNO's. It will not work on sprint or Verizon

@GLIMMERMAN76

T Mobile is the carrier that we want. Thanks though

I was not aware of that, I had not done my homework.
