Help with Nokia Lumia 1520 EFT
Hi, I am considering buying this phone: http://www.att.com/cellphones/nokia/lumia-1520.html on a 20 month plan and would like to know whether I can;
Terminate my plan at any time by paying the early termination fee of $325 (less $10 per month),
It can be shipped to Australia (but obviously not have any connection in Aus).
Thankyou.

A 20 month plan is a Next payment plan where you pay the full retail price of the phone divided into month payments. You would have to pay off the entire cost of the phone in order to unlock it for use on another network. (You end up paying $584.99)
You only pay early termination fees on a 2 year contract. A portion of the phones cost is charged up front ($199), the remainder, up to $375 will be charged as an early termination fee if you port your number or terminate service.
You would have to pay off ETFs in order to unlock phone for use on another carrier.
Either way you will pay pretty much the full retail cost for a phone that isn't completely compatible with your network.
Why don't you just buy an unlocked version?
