Help unlock my Microsoft Surface 3!

Hello all,

I received an email confirmation that my device is unlocked. The contents is:
Congratulations! Here are your unlock instructions:
Your unlock code is **************** (hide for security)
Ten unsuccessful unlock attempts permanently locks the device to the AT&T network.
1. Switch the device off.
2. Remove the AT&T SIM card.
3. Insert a non-AT&T SIM card.
4. Switch the device on.
5. Go to the Windows 8.1 Start screen and launch AT&TAllAccess.
6. Enter the unlock code (8 digits) and tap Unlock device. The device is now unlocked.

My unlock code contains 16 characters (7 letters and 9 number, mixed) but the sixth step need to enter 8 digits. So What can I do now?

Thanks.

Hello @pewtergeek,

I am sorry it appears you received an incorrect unlock code. I would love to help double check this, and figure out what happened there.

I am going to be sending you a private message, and you will see this in the envelope icon in the top right of your screen. This way I can gather some more information to determine what occurred during the unlock process.

I hope to hear from you soon!
