GSM Phone Bandwidths

I'm looking at a phone that uses the following frequency and bandwidths:

4G LTE Band Support: 4G Voice over LTE FDD B2, B4, B5, B12, B13, B14, B66/B71 cellular networks or frequency band of 850/900/1900/2100 MHz in North America region.

Can anyone tell me if this is compatible with AT&T?

If it's not listed anywhere on AT&T's website as being compatible, then it probably isn't. Did you purchase it from a third party and do you have an AT&T SIM card?

Look up the EXACT model number of the phone you are considering on AT&T's whitelist and see if it's listed.

It is not listed. It is a TEL-SIM4068sg desktop 4G phone. When I asked the seller about compatibility he just sent me the specs above.

Hey there @jonnolt, we'd be glad to provide you with more information regarding devices that are compatible with the AT&T network.

We'd advise for you to review our list of devices that still operate on the AT&T network at this time. If your device is not listed, then you'll need to reach back out to the original device seller for more information.

Feel free to reach back out with any other questions or concerns you may have.

Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums for help.

@jonnolt

That is considered a wireless home phone, not something that is going to be covered by this forum section which is specific to Cellular devices that are mobile.

I would suggest you repost in the home phone section of the Forum, however you may get the exact same answer. Specifications no longer matter, you must have a phone that AT&T considers to be compatible, because it's been tested by at&t already.

Any device that has not been tested and approved will be blocked from use on at&t.

@formerlyknownas , I respectfully disagree with your advice here to go to the home phone section.  That should be known as the wired home phone section.  Wireless is wireless.  Wireless Home Internet is handled by Wireless.  Wireless Home Phone is handled by Wireless.  If it uses a SIM card, it's Wireless. If it doesn't connect to AT&T via a wire, the people who answer stuff on home phone just send it exactly where this post is now.

Does anyone know of a similar wireless home phone that is compatible with AT&T? I know of a few people that would be interested in a set up like this.

The normal path here is to get a device with a SIM card and a RJ11 jack which allows you to hook any analog telephone to the Wireless Network.  Yes, it's two boxes instead of one, but...

We understand how useful a Wireless Home Phone can be, @jonnolt. Let's shed some light on its compatibility.

AT&T Wireless Home Phone (WHP) is no longer available for new activations. AT&T Wireless Internet (AWI) is the replacement for WHP but AWI devices were discontinued on December 7, 2021, and will no longer be sold. @JefferMC provided a great alternative, just make sure the device is supported on the network as previously mentioned.

That's OK I just purchased the T67LTE Phone from Verizon. It will do more than I need but is still a great deal.
