Forgot password for ZTe z222

Hi
Need help, I have forgotten my ZTE Z222 phone password. I can't unlock it.
My phone got switch off and when I on it, phone requires a password which I don't remember, please help

Hello @Panda2324,

 

Not knowing your passcode to your phone is certainly a problem. I will be glad to help out!

 

Some phones can have a default passcode in place. Usually it is 0000 or 1234. If the passcode was setup by the user, there wouldn’t be a way to look up the setting. A factory reset can be used for some devices as well. You can look up your make and model on our Device Support page and head to Tutorials > Troubleshooting > Reset.

I have gone through as per your instruction but it did not help as my phone requires a password without which i cant use or access the home screen buttons

Hello @Panda2324!

 

Thank you for your replay. I know the importance of having this issue resolved as soon as possible.

 

I understand you are unable to access the settings of your device. The great new is you can try an alternate method.  Please follow the steps below:

 

  • Turn phone Off
  • Remove the battery for a few minutes and then put it back in.
  • Press and hold the Volume up, Call button and Power button at the same time. Make sure to hold the keys until the phone vibrates.
  • When it asks for permissions, select: Wipe data/factory to reset.
  • Once the process has completed, please reboot the phone

Thank you for joining us here in the Community Forums! I am sorry to hear you are not able to access the factory reset method on your ZTE Z222 phone. It’s understandable when your top priority is to regain access into your device!

 

Is your phone turned off prior to attempting the reset method I listed above? Try instead to press and hold the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons. You should then be prompted to Wipe Data/factory to reset.
