Data Usage of specific amount of 450MB 46 times since start of new billing cycle

I seem to be going over my 100GB wireless internet usage every month.  After looking at AT&T's logs for wireless internet usage, I found that on 46 occasions since Dec. 3, I have specific "450.0MB" usages on it, which is 21GB in and of itself!!!!  I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and if you may have found out what could be causing it.  Would be nice if AT&T would provide the TCPIP address of the device using their data.

I’m still looking into this.  Doubt I will ever know for sure what is going on, but will certainly keep everyone informed if I find anything.

I guess I am curious what small/big of the chunk size people would like to have reported on their logs?

You don't want every byte or every megabyte to have its own line item, do you?

Doesn't your device track how much it uses? A hotspot I'm assuming, due to your IP address comment?

I reset my phone at the end of my billing cycle and at the end of the next cycle I can see how much I've used.  It generally reports a few percent more than AT&T actually lists me having used.

FYI - Data reporting isn't necessarily live, it can be delayed up to 48 hours.

I downloaded an app to track exactly which apps are using data and how much. In this case the culprit turned out to be "product.lge.data.server.LgDataServiceMain" I have an LG V60thinq. I haven't had any issues since that one day though.

"my data manager" it won't catch anything from before its installed, just shows usage from time of install and after.

I actually have 37 different TCPIP addresses on my WIFI.  I did install Eero Pro 6 on my WiFi, and it does break usage down to the specific device.  However, it doesn’t answer the specific question of 450Mb additions.  The only thin I glean from it is that ATT doesn’t keep up with usage by the minute, instead it checks at certain times, then adds in 450Mb until it catches up, a lot like electric companies who don’t read the meters on a monthly basis?

@Gary L The problem is that the report doesn't remotely match the device in question. It's not impossible there is a bug somewhere, and having more detailed reporting could help identify the problem (both on AT&T's and Apple's part in this case). We've been troubleshooting this for 6 months and the issue just keeps getting worse. Cell data is set to off on the offending device

Hmmm……🧐 Sounds interesting.  Like I said, I know for sure the usage of data from 37 devices is limited to two Apple phones, an iPad, and a Microsoft laptop.  I know that they all require updates, but have not sat down long enough. To watch the “usage indicator” on Eero does during those updates.  Have other irons in the fire than time to take care of them.😬

I've got a bunch of 450 MB and 135 MB items on my son's data usage, and three of each on my wife's.   They're listed when we're home and theoretically should be on the home wifi, I have no idea why it would be using cell data.  Any other updates on this?

same problem - constant stream of 450 MB charges often at intervals of 5 to 6 minutes. Disconnected ethernet to my directv hr44 last week. These large data charges are gone. Still small charges but that is expected.  When i signed up directv data was streamed with no charge. I found that ATT can not do this any longer because the California net neutrality policy prohibits the practice. Apparently because the internet knows no geographical boundaries, this policy applies every where. I only wish i had been notified before the charges began.
