Cudy 4G LTE router LT 18 getting 2G/3G signal but not 4G

I have a Cudy router and am able to get 2G and 3G signal, but not 4G. I have been on hold for a supervisor for 30 minutes after talking with a technician that verified my SIM card and IMEI numbers. She told me my device is not compatible, yet I get 2G and 3G service. What is the issue here...

Hi LAEdwards17, we want to help explain why you are unable to get service with your 2G and 3G signal.

We’ve phased out our 3G network starting February 22, 2022. We’re making make room for an even better network.

Devices Working on ATT Network (PDF, 506KB). It’s important to check the device model numbers to make sure it’s still supported since the 3G network shutdown. This includes iPads, tablets, and wearables.

Once you know your device still works, you may need to restart your device or check the VoLTE or LTE status. (See the FAQ for more details)

Don’t see your phone make and model on the list? That means it may not work anymore. You may need to swap or upgrade to a new one.

Upgrade your AT&T Wireless device

Talk and data services will only work for AT&T WirelessSM phones and devices that support at least 4G LTE and HD Voice. Here’s how you can replace your device:

I have no idea how you are getting 2G service, the 2G network was shut down years ago. Regardless, your device is no longer compatible with ATT’s network. Whatever service you are getting won’t be for much longer.

The device is a 4G device and works with a T-Mobile Som Card so not seeing how these replies are pertinent to my issue. Cudy AX1800 Wifi 6 4G LTE model LT 18…

Guess I will just go to T-Mobile…

Bought a different router, changed IMEI and have 4G now. Still experienced poor customer service trying to change IMEI, was told I needed to go to the store. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, once again didn’t get there but was sent back to customer service for regular account. That person was great and got me to the right person. Not impressed with frontline customer service “support”.
