I bought a Galaxy A53 5G the international version which is unlocked for GSM only for me and my wife off Amazon. We have Safelink the govt assistance phone  when giving them the IMEI they say it only works with T-Mobile so i did it being it my only choice but its the worst its horrible and cant stand it so my question is will these phones work with an AT&T SIM card or do i have to find different phones??

No.

FYI all carriers have an IMEI check.  Your phone may not work on any US carrier.
