Can’t submit unlock request
I tired to submit unlock request via https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/ but the web page said, “We can't unlock this device for you because we didn't sell or activate it.” at the step 2. Could you please advise me what happened on my device? My device is; Surface Duo (AT&T locked) Model 1930 Regards.

The reason that AT&T doesn't know this device is because it was never activated on the AT&T network. If you didn't want to use the device on the AT&T network, you should not have purchased a device locked to AT&T. New devices used to have to be used on the AT&T network for a minimum period before they would be able to be unlocked.

Dear Rasheedat,
Thank you for your quick reply and advises.
I bought this device from a seller in Amazon.com. So, I don't know whether there is any active installment plan or balance.
The package is completely new when it arrived at me. Also, AT&T SIM card is already inserted into the device.
Is it possible to check the situation of this device or SIM card with the number is indicated on SIM card?
Regards.

My situation is different.
I paid cash for a AT&T Kyocera DuraXE E4710.
I only used the prepaid service for the phone.
Phone number 7755379031
Now I requested an unlock code from AT&T only to be told they don't know me.
Whats the problem?
