When I try to add contacts I get an error message "You have disabled a required permission'

Hi Shardert! We are here to help with the error message you're receiving when adding a contact!
Check out how to add/view/edit your contacts on your contact settings. Please navigate to change device on top of the page to enter your device type for personalized steps. Let us know what type of device you are using to better assist you.
We also recommend resetting your device to factory settings to disable any settings that may be interfering with adding contacts on your device. Please keep in mind that this will erase all data on your device and restore it to factory settings.

Adding/editing contacts used to be the easiest thing in the world to use. However, after clicking on numerous links, I still am not able to add or edit contacts. Sometimes I use different methods until one works. Then by that time I don't know which one worked. The instructions are worthless. My device is my usual pc and nothing out of the ordinary. Have the same problem when trying to edit a contact. Using Windows 11/Firefox.
