cannot unmute my phone

Pressed mute by mistake and now cannot unmute. Turned off twice but doesnt help. Help:--))

I have an LG android phone. The mute button is not unmuting. Can't find anything in settings to help. Thank you for responding.

Call LG Support and ask them. It's their phone, not AT&T's.

Not a home phone issue, moved to wireless forum. LG is out of the cell phone business, I believe. Replacing the phone may be your only option.

I did an online chat with LG. Very depressing. A factory reset might help. Yikes! For a simple unmute button. Any better ideas?

One action which may help is, if you haven't already, make sure to confirm that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. If so, you will want to disable it simply by navigating to Settings then tap the Bluetooth switch.

 

Sometimes this feature can interfere with your phone speakers and will require disabling before the sound is audible on your device.

 

Should your experience persist despite the first step, then you will want to perform a factory reset of your device. If it's an AT&T brand phone, you will likely find instructions on how to do revert the device back to factory settings when you visit our Device Support center.

 

After selecting your device's make and model, choose Troubleshooting then Reset device. Follow the steps as presented.
