Cannot register a third-party cell phone signal booster with AT&T

We purchased a third-party cellular signal booster to support a medical alert device for my father.  After setting up the booster to confirm it will generate a boosted signal strong enough for the device, I went to register the device (per FCC regulations) with AT&T. The only instructions I could find required me to install AT&Ts booster app on my phone. After doing that, the app asked for the device's serial number. When I typed it in (several times) the app returned 'invalid serial number'. I then learned the app is to support AT&T's own cell signal booster. Online, I found a listing of devices that can be registered with AT&T, but this brand (PhoneTone or PhoneToneTech) and model (AN-L65AV) aren't options. How can a person register a device with the FCC through AT&T, as instructed and expected, if there are no means or tools available to do that?

AT&T's 'cellular booster' is not a booster. It is in MicroCell for LTE.

AT&T's booster / MicroCell requires a wired home internet service in order to function to create a network where there is none.

If you have indeed purchased a booster, all it requires is electricity in order to amplify cellular signal.  There is no app for a true booster.

There must be some signal in order to amplify. If you have no signal at all you do need a device connected to home internet like AT&T's device.

It comes with a label as here.

We'll be happy to clarify what's going on with this @Mark_8530.

In order to proceed, you'll need to have a cell booster that's compatible with our network. You can order ours online or purchase it at an AT&T store

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Thank you for reaching out to our AT&T Community.

Hi ATTHelp,

I bought some third party SureCall brand signal booster model Force5 2.0 (P/N SC-PolyO2-72) and was trying to register them at this ATT booster registration website, but I still can’t after more than a month:  https://securec45.securewebsession.com/attsignalbooster.com/

After I filled out the information and submitted, there a little circle keeps spinning around and the process is never finished.  In February of this year, I was able to register some boosters of the same model number.   I think there’s something wrong with the ATT servers.  Can you please inform your IT department to fix this issue?

Thanks,

Hi ATTHelp,

I wrote to you above.  See the attached picture for that little spinning circle.

Clear your cookies and try again. And of course it's always possible that the registration did go through...

I cleared all cookies and still can't registered.  Restarted my computer also, but not helping.

Thanks,

Hi ATTHelp,

Did you read my message about the booster registration problem?  Please find out why I can't register the boosters?

Thanks.
