Blackberry Passport not arriving in stores?
I'm wondering if anyone else is having issues with this. I've called five AT&T stores in the East Orlando area both yesterday and today. No signs of a passport arriving in stores. In fact it wasn't until the fourth store today that I even spoke to someone who had any idea what I was talking about. I was told they had a demo unit, but nothing to sell. So I drove to the store and...of course it was the Classic and not the passport.
This leads me to another topic. Are they even bothering to train store reps on basic product knowledge anymore? Is this just a failing of the district I'm unfortunate enough to live near or is this a greater issue within AT&T as a whole? Before anyone tells me to order it online...I'd like to check out the phone in person first (also it's listed as sold out now). If I wanted to buy it online I would have ordered it unlocked last year when it released.

the passport is sold out online. I was under the impression that it was going to be web only first week like the nexus 6

I've been following the passport since it was announced and am totally unaware of any "web only" first week. If I had known that I may have actually ordered it online. Do you have a source regarding this information?

store manager at my local store told me that today when I was there. They had both dummie models and were ordering it if a customer wanted it. It looks like a soft launch like the nexus 6 because of inventory constraints.

Well...I guess I'll just keep an eye on the website and hope for the best. Would have been really nice had anyone I spoke to today or yesterday (on the phone or in person) mentioned that or offered to order it. I'm assuming AT&T has just not property educated or trained their sales staff.
