Better to mail in trade in device, or drop off at store?
Upgraded my daughters phone and they sent me a USPS return label send in her trade in device. I thought that was strange since the instructions said to drop it at a UPS location, so I did an online chat. CS rep told me I can just take to my local store and turn in my device there.
I assume it would be better to just turn it in, in store, correct?

You can try the local corporate store but they may tell you no.
Your phone must be mailed back with the label addressed to Tennessee. If you're taking it to the US Post Office you must get a counter receipt. Do not just drop the package and walk away. The counter receipt will have the tracking information but you should also take a picture of the label. The label is tracked through the postal service and Pitney bowes. You can track your package through those two systems
