ATT provided unlock code not working

I recieved an approval to unlock device email from at&t and the code still isn't unlocking my Hauwei Ascend XT. I nserted my new sim and now my phone is asking me for an unblock code. Please help

Hello @Sizysen13,

 

We're glad to hear that the unlock request you submitted for your wireless device has been approved. Once you've received the email with your unlock code, please follow these steps to complete the unlock process for your Huawei device:

 

1. Power off the device and remove the AT&T SIM card.
2. Insert a SIM card from another wireless carrier.
3. Power on the device.
4. The device will prompt for the unlock code.
5. Enter the unlock code.

I've tried doing so and it still isn't working. The sim is from a staight talk wireless activation kit I bought from Wal-Mart where my service was also activated after purchase. However, every since the At&t compatible sim was placed in my phone I have been asked to "Enter Unblock Code" when turning on device. Please Help

It's a new at&t phone I got an approval email to unlock it and was provided a unlock code that isnt working. I got the phone activated at Wal-Mart with a straight talk wireless activation kit and activated the at&t compatible sim but the sim seems to have a block on it because when I power on my device it asks for an unblock code. Please help

My device unlock status says approved. But Iam still blocked from getting in my phone. And it has a full warranty  and not stolen or blacklisted
