AT&T Netgear Nighthawk® M6 Pro MR6500 Ethernet port is not 2.5Gb
From the official document from both Netgear and att, the Nighthawk® M6 Pro mr6500-1a1nas 2.5G Ethernet Port.
However at&t version mr6500-1a1nas's Ethernet port is limited to maximum on 1Gb port connection, any idea to set it to 2.5G ?

This is really a screwed up device. Got a brand new one, upgraded to lastest firmware, it's behavior is exactly same - stuck in the bootloop when remove battery into performance mode...

The only time the ethernet port is set to 2.5G is when the battery is removed, and the unit is powered on using the USB-C connector.

That doesn't sounds right, even you connect Ethernet directly with USB-C C powered, it is still max 1gb network, the default is 100mb, that sounds crazy

The only time the device will provide 2.5GB speeds through the Ethernet connection is when the unit is powered by the USB-C connector AND the battery is removed. That puts the device into performance mode. It should reboot and state that it's going into performance mode once the battery is removed. Powering it with USB-C while the battery is attached will not work. This is by design, as I understand it.
How are you verifying that you're only getting 100MB? What type of Ethernet cable are you using? Cable must be a CAT-6 cable and the receiving device must support 2.5GB connections.

I could not see the option to turn on 2.5GB network, I am on 2.5GB network , my PC works on my 2.5GB network switch.
certainly I am on cat 6 cable with 2.5Gb network . my network and cable have no problem
The device itself sets to 100Base-T at default that is crazy in 2023, you have to manually change to 1000Base-T, there is no option to switch 2.5gb network.
When I take off battery with USB-C powered, the device stuck in boot loop.

Are you using the supplied power adapter or using a laptop USB port to power the device? It must use the provided power adapter and USB-C cable to properly power the device. If you are, then it's time to return it to AT&T and get a replacement. This is a growing problem with the AT&T version of the M6 device. Check out this on the Netgear community fourm:
