ATT Hot Spot Security settings (WPA2, Open.......) effects internet speeds?

We have an ATT Velocity hot spot

The unit has internet security options

Shared

Open

WPA

WPA2(AES)PSk        (this is what I have it set to)

WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK

Will changing this speed up internet at all?

No that just adjusts the Wi-Fi security for the local network. Speed from cellular towers will vary based on congestion, time of day, distance to tower, etc. Nothing on the device can alter that.

If you're getting 3 megabits per second or more, that's going to be considered normal for cellular honestly.

TY

We usually get 4-6 megabits per second so I guess it is ok

What I cannot understand is when we use our iPhone to tether we get around 12-14 megabits per second
