ATT Emergency Spare One

I had a Spare One emergency phone.  When ATT discontinued support for that phone I accepted thier option to replace it with a LG B470.  I charge the battery evey few months on this phone and when I charged it today I noticed that it no longer has service.  Did ATT discontinue this service as well?  Does ATT have another pay as you use it option?

Well, this was absolutely no help.  Did you read my question at all?  The phone functions correctly.

The problem is with the service, has ATT discontinued the Spare One pay as you go service?

Yes, the spare one and it's plan are no longer available.  Can't explain the lame reply.

OK. thanks - this at least gets to the issue.  I was aware that ATT discontinued the Spare One service.

But then they offered a LG phone to continue the pay as you use program.

I just want a phone that I can pay for only when I use it at whatever the cost.

So do they no longer offer any pay as you use service at all?

I don't want to pay $20-$35 a month for a phone that is under a seat in my car for emergencies.  I know that some carriers in Europe offer this type of service, is it available in the US?

Thanks again.

The cheapest At&t plan is pay per use.   $100 refill every 365 days holds account open.  That averages to $8.33 a month.

Refills expire on this schedule :

$10 to $24 expires in 30 days. $25 to $99 expires in 90 days. A $100 refill expires in 365 days.  (two $50 refills do not equal $100/365 day expiration.  Have to include that as sometimes people look for discount cards and load a bunch at once)

The $2 per day plan would be best.   Only charges if you use service, $2 for unlimited talk and text per 24 hour period.

Greetings @RDelong,

As mentioned prior the best option for you would be the $2 per day plan. You'll get unlimited talk and text per 24 hour period.
