Asurion is sending me a check to replace my broken tablet. Do i have to buy the same tablet again?
so recently my Tablet (Galaxy Tab E) took a bad fall and my screen got destroyed. i called Asurion and filed a claim. i was told they're not able to to send me a replacement device and gave me the option of either entering a waiting list or getting a check and buying another device. i opted for the check. My question is, do i need to buy the same device again? or can i purchase a different tablet for the same price? also since the tablet that broke was apart of my family plan (it had a number, data, service,etc) would i have to the bring both new and old tablet to an att store? how would that work out? i'd just like to know what to do/ expect before the check arrives.
