Android update for HTC ONE M8 Unlocked device
Hi,
I have unlocked HTC One M8 device and have android version 4.4.2. I want to update the android version, but not able to do since I moved out of At&t network. Please can you tell me how do I need to update the android version.

you need to be on the at&t network to receive OTA updates there is no way around it, you could install a friend or family members at&t sim card to trigger the update and then re insert your own sim after the update.

You do need to be connected to AT&T to get the updates to software.
since your phone is still on Kit Kat, there will be no point in switching to AT&T because you won’t get the updates anyway. Software updates are on the server for a long period of time but Kit Kat is a five year old operating system. Android 5/lollipop was next. The server will not have anything that old available.
