Already activated at&t cingular flip phone iv keeps giving me reminder upon start-up to refer to quick start-up quick to activate phone

I am a pre-existing at&t customer who has already activated my at&t cingular flip phone iv to my existing account, not to any pre-paid or new account. Yet every time I start up my phone it keeps giving me a reminder to refer to some quick start-up quick to activate the phone? Can anyone advise why this is occurring and help me figure out how to get rid of this message and issue. Thanks.

We'll be happy to look into this for you @av1.

 

We suggest going into the Device menu and then, after backing up any information on the device that you wish to keep, choosing Reset Phone. This will erase all data and restore the device to its factory settings.

 

Please let us know if this resolves the issue. If not, please let us know if any other functions of the device, such as calls, texts, or the various apps, are impaired, so that we can determine how to proceed.

Hey there, @av1!

 

As explained at our Device Support center for the Cingular Flip IV, a Factory data reset will revert the device back to factory settings. It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data before proceeding.

 

Follow these instructions to Backup & Restore with a Memory Card.
