5G service in Central Arkansas

What band is being used for 5G service in Little Rock/North Little Rock Arkansas?

Have a Motorola Edge (not plus) and checking to see if it has the band ATT is using for 5G here.

Do any of the prepaid plans offer 5G service?

What is "Premium" Data on a unlimited data plan?

Hi Davenir.

We'd be happy to help you look into devices that are capable of using 5G! Please check our Coverage map to determine what wireless coverage is provided in your area. At this moment, Postpaid service has sole access to 5G service. These are the current Unlimited Plans the you are able to choose from. Let us know if you require more information about 5G capable devices or the current Unlimited Plans.

Thank you!

OK.  I signed up for the Prepaid $75 plan with $20 autopay discount from your website.  I went to the AT&T store and got a sim, and they set up the phone.  When I left the store, its said 5GE (the fake 5G) on the top, and I was getting 100 Mbps/25 which was great.  Noticed today the 5GE changed to LTE+ but the speed is between 100 and 160.

Since my plan specifically said it was 5G, when do you plan to 'turn on' the 5G towers for Prepaid customers?   Not that is matters since 100 Mbps is like 10X faster than Sprint and Tmobile at my house, but just curious.  Your coverage map says I am 5G.

My plan: AT&T PREPAIDSM Unlimited Plus and under details: 5G access

ATTHelp is wrong. Your plan does include 5G. Not sure your phone is compatible with ATT’s 5G network. I don’t see the Motorola Edge on ATT’s list of 5G phones.

The phone has low band n5 BUT just like the One Plus 8 pro it won't work with it as its a unlocked phone.  Heck that phone from what I can tell does not get VoLTE yet unless ATT needs to update the support docs.

Well, that is why I signed up for prepaid to test it out.

The phone itself will do VoLTE, because Ive seen that icon on the top when it was paired with Sprint, and Motorola said it had it.  So you are saying unless you spend $$$ buying a locked AT&T phone, they block 5G even if the phone will do it?  That would be a game changer.

I get VoLTE and 5G on a unlocked Samsung s20 ultra and I also get VoLTE on a one plus 8 pro I just don't get 5G on it.  Att has a lists of unlocked phones but 5G access is not on the list.  I think some phones still need profiles updated.
