Stolen never received Gift cards
We recently signed up with atnt wireless service and were promised reward cards and today when I went to check status it said that it was delivered and after calling the reward center I m finding out that 4 of them were activated and were used by someone at different locations within 20-30 miles close to our house. That’s $800 worth of gift cards that we were planning to use to pay T-Mobile bill of 2k which was due when we were switching. We never saw it in our mail and customer service said they can’t do anything about it since it was delivered to the right address. None of the other mail was stolen or taken by someone. Apparently all you need to activate the card is zip code which is given in plain sight on mail.
This is all very disappointing, now we are regretting of switching

Yep this is a bad idea. When I joined AT&T I was eligible for a similar perk for switching. The credit was applied directly to my account. No way for someone to steal it from my mailbox. AT&T has gotten a bit dumber in the past 10 years
File a better Business bureau complaint online. If they get enough complaints maybe they'll change the way they're doing things to a way that makes sense
