log in failure: Oops! Something went wrong. Try clearing browser cookies and try again.

I have been trying for hours to figure out how to solve the error message (in title) that I get on my computer when I try to log in. I can't get to anybody helpful on the phone--the robot is awful. I've tried booting in safe mode, reinstalling the browser from scratch. I used a different browser and it worked at first. Now the second browser doesn't work either. I just want to talk with someone who will listen and help rather than read me a script. Can anybody help?

For the past two days, I have continually received error messages from the ATT website when attempting to view my bill or account. The problem is NOT the password. It is clearly an ATT web-based issue that has become problematic.

In fact, to prove that I am not the only person affected. I had a co-worker attempt to log on at work on his personal laptop. He experienced the same identical issue. However, we both can view our bill on either our smartphone or iPad devices which in fact are separate accounts - should anyone assume otherwise.

Most distressing is that ATT customer service habitually insists on changing the website password (which has been done several times) or using another web browser, another network, and so on. ATT staffing cannot seem to isolate the problem and emphasize blame upon other issues rather than escalating to support to correctly identify or recreate the issue.  Despite what the ATT website suggests to re-enter the selected site, the matter continues to replicate as the same repeated loop of error.

***** The only thing that worked for me was using EDGE Beta, or Google Chrome. EVERY "fix" with just Microsoft EDGE, was an abomination. I hate AT&T. I am a Telecom/Data Specialist. I have 51 years experience, and AT&T is still trying to baffle me *****! I started with South Central Bell in 1968, when it was "Ma Bell". When it was also a company that took pride in what they did. Now, there isn't a CSR in the US. They are all overseas somewhere, and impossible to talk to. They have a script that they read, and beyond that, they are as lost as an Easter egg in tall grass!!!

Try another browser. That's the only thing that'll change anything.

I have concluded that this error message is pretty generic. If ATT's computers can't figure out why the login fails it seems to send out this ridiculous notice.  In my case, I finally discovered (after a lot of work) that our internet service was sluggish that day.  We gave up on AT&T internet a while back so I can't blame them. Anyway, I didn't notice any particular slow down at other websites. until I tried downloading some software.  Once the internet speeded up, the ATT login was fine.  You would think that a technology company like AT&T would have a better interface that could expedite logging in and more accurately sense the actual problem.  Their internet service in our area can hardly provide the speed/bandwidth to watch streaming content on one computer while browsing on another. So it would seem that they should configure their site to function smoothly under sub-par conditions.  Anyway, best of luck to the rest of you.

"I have concluded that this error message is pretty generic." As  generic as the scripts these non-English speaking, untrained, inept, service corps reads as they "help" you "definitely" resolve your issue. And none of them, … not a one of them, has a clue what it is that they are saying to you. If you speak English, they are as lost as passed gas in a whirlwind. (I'll see how censored this statement is, Li_Jenn!). I am about to spin AT&T like a top, and save what little sanity I have left. They are NOT "thanks". They are a disaster!

I'm getting the same thing on a Mac with Safari and Chrome. If I reset my password then I can log in. Seems to be a back-end issue somewhere in AT&T's system, but they apparently don't know where or how to fix it.

I got the same thing on Chrome last night myself. Nothing's sacred. Well, except the jolly greens these creeps rake in with their over-priced, under-preforming, junk that we pay for as "service".

Same here, except Safari, Firefox, or Edge Beta.  It just decided one day not to like the computer I am using.  Went through the nonsense of resetting password as well, suggested by the chat person, and got in with the temp password, set a real password logged out and tried to log back in, same "Opps I s***k" error message.

What is odd, or not, it is just this one computer it doesn't like.  The MyATT app logs in just fine and my laptop logs in just fine.  Tried switching from ethernet, to WiFi, to tethering to the phone for the internet connection and made no difference.  It just seems like it doesn't like this one computer that I own.

Strange as it may sound, for AT&T it makes sense. If you are convinced that your "device" is the problem, where are you most likely to buy a new device? These pigeon heads have no low. When they strike rock, they just blow it up and keep getting lower. Marketing is as low as it gets with these creeps.
