In depth text messages
How can I see the actual content of text messages on a phone that is on my account instead of just seeing the number that was texting and whether it was incoming or outgoing? Is there a way to read the actual conversations?

Not through your account. ATT does not save text content. The actual text content is only on the phone.

As @sandblaster has stated, texts cannot be viewed outside of the devices attached to your mobile number.
We do offer our AT&T Secure Family app. It will not allow you to view texts, but it will enable you to locate family members, control their smartphone screen time, block apps and websites, and more.
