Hey @vasudevbv,

Thank you for reaching out. We understand how frustrating this must be for you and would love to take a closer look.

In order to best assist, we want to know:

  • what type of AT&T service do you have, prepaid or postpaid.
  • did you try to reset your password to see if it solves the error
  • are you attempting to access your account on myAT&T mobile app or the website

With more information we will be able to assist further.

Hello Doyin,

I have a postpaid service.

I have tried resetting the password 100 times as suggested by your customer service.

I have tried on 5 different systems and 3 different browsers and 6 different mobile phones.

let me know if you need any more information.

I've had the same problem since I switched over from T-Mobile about 3 weeks ago. I opened a wireless account with AT&T and created an account online. I haven't been able to view my account online at all. Message says "A temporary system error prevents us from locating your account information right now. This type of problem usually lasts only a few minutes but may continue for several hours. For help right now, contact us. (LGN0817)". I've talked to over 10 customer support agents, changed my password a million times, tried different browsers, and still nothing. They also created 2 different cases. The first time, they told me they'd call back with a solution, which they never did, and the second time nobody called me. Called AGAIN today and they told me they are having "system issues" and to wait another day to try and log in. COME ON AT&T! I'm thinking I will switch to another mobile provider. This customer support is the WORST.

This is because you were the old customer of AT&T and you are returning back and they are not able to resolve it. in my case they take almost 30 days to resolve this issue with multiple follow ups.

I’m getting the same message with the LGN0817 error code, as well as other messages. I’ve called over 10 times and to no resolve. Can someone assist me with this? It’s not a huge deal to not be able to have online access, but I’m being charged over $140 bucks a month, I would like the access!

When googling this error code, it seems that this is something that AT&T has been dealing with for years and still can't figure out.  I've had AT&T mobile service and DirecTV for years and I'm having the same issues.  I've tried my mobile device as well as different computers and still get the same error.  It's hit or miss and isn't dependent on the device I'm using.  This is certainly frustrating as all I'm trying to do is add to my service without the hassle of waiting on the phone to speak with someone.  Too bad though.  AT&T just missed the opportunity to make some more money.

My analysis is that I have seen this problem if you are returning back customers to AT&T. AT&T needs to learn from this problem and overcome this problem, which puts a bad experience for returning customers
