Account has been locked

Hello, I wanted to update my password. Logged in typed in my new password. After many failed attempts it said they didn’t match. Within that same login..well I tried doing forgot my password. I typed in the temporary password and then tried to set my new password. And it said it didn’t match. Then it finally gave me a care code 900.6. And I got other care codes. Then finally it said my account is locked for 24 hours. I’ve seen many other posts that have the same issues. I’m not sure what is happening? I’m concerned I’m not going to be able to access to account. At&T please investigate beyond the scope of this post. It seems like it’s a bigger issue at hand and not localized situations.
