Accessing My AT&T account

New to AT&T and cannot receive texts from short code numbers (verification texts)

I am a little confused because your title and the body of your question seem to be unrelated. Is it two problems?

If you are not receiving Verification codes and your phone number has not changed it is possible your number Port has not complete from your previous service provider.
