Your phone's not registered on a network so you can only make emergency calls

my  Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G says its not registered on a network this morning.  I can only make emergency calls.  I can't figure out how to fix this.  Can you help me please?  Is this an outage or just me?

We'll be happy to assist you with your reception concerns @lisadst.

This error can be caused by a number of factors. If your device was working recently without any problems, try turning your phone completely off and then back on again and ensuring that the SIM card is mounted properly inside the device.

If that doesn't work, try resetting your network settings by going to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings

If the issue persists after trying these measures, please let us know and we'll be delighted to assist you further. Thank you for reaching out to our community.

I bought a new phone from the AT&T store, but decided to do the setup myself. The "about phone" shows the correct phone number. But the SIM card status shows "not available" under network. The Mobile network state = Disconnected, and Service state = "Out of service."

The "Reset network settings" steps given above did not help.

@lisadst Did ATT ever resolve this issue for you? I am having the exact same issue.
