WiFi Calling, IMAP and You!

Referencing this article, I'm curious to know why TCP/143 - IMAP is required for WiFi calling. Could someone please provide some additional information on this?

Hi @anon616,

Thank you for reaching out. We're more than happy to provide some answers.

While Wi-Fi calling assists you to make call, send texts using the broadband from your ISP, there must still be a unique gateway to access the AT&T network. The IP address that we have been assigned are accessible from the ports listed in the article. This is a configuration setting that must be followed for your device to have access to the Wi-Fi calling feature.

Let us know if this helps.
